If you want to understand everything, we have to go back a few years ago…

A little girl was born in a family of immigrants. She grew up with her two wonderful grannies, who didn’t speak a word when they arrived in this country, so they had no other choice than become seamstresses. 

Since she was the first child of her family, she played with her cousins and always preferred boys’ games and activities: cars, football… 

In 1998, this little tomboy predicted that France would win the World Cup 3-0 against Brazil and to her and mammy’s surprise, it happened. After that she has always been interested in Brazil and football. 

Then, she played the sport and even coached the youngest players of her club.  

Throughout her childhood, she went to the factory afterschool where her grannies worked. She watched them turn a sketch into reality and a piece of fabric into article of clothing.

She was incredibly interested in the process and tried to sew her first dress on an industrial machine at 6 years old. She was always looking to wear something different, an unique garment. Thus, it was evident that she would be a designer.

Although her family didn’t allow her to pursue a career in the fashion industry, after graduation she decided to take a one year break, to make money and finally pay for her fashion school. 

After that she traveled to Brazil and fell in love with a surfer who made her love the plumerias, even though she didn’t initially like flowers. When she returned she was sure that she wanted to create her own bikini brand.

Since then she travelled a lot and worked in different areas of fashion to gain knowledge, assets and experience before developing Kalamitay.
